GPC and SEC Columns for Aqueous, Specialty and Organic Polymer Analysis
Consistent performance in gel permeation chromatography (GPC) and size exclusion chromatography (SEC) applications relies on high performance columns for polymer characterization. Our GPC columns and calibration kits help you to maintain the highest levels of sensitivity in polymer analysis, offering precise, reliable measurement of molecular weight distributions whether you are performing gel filtration, gel permeation, or size exclusion chromatography.
PL aquagel-OH SEC Analytical
The PL aquagel-OH offers high efficiency separation of water soluble polymers and large molecules. PL aquagel-OH columns tolerate high salt concentrations, pH range 2-10, and organic solvents (up to 50% methanol). The columns are mechanically stable up to 140 bar (2030 psi) and thermally stable up to 90 ºC.
PolarGel
The PolarGel range is designed for use with polar organic solvents and water-organic mixtures. These eluents are very useful in GPC / SEC to separate polar materials, such as resins, starches, biopolymers, polysaccharides, polyamides, and other polar polymers that are prone to interaction in purely organic or aqueous solvents.
PL aquagel-OH SEC Preparative
Preparative PL aquagel-OH columns enable rapid and predictable scale-up for aqueous Size Exclusion and Gel Filtration Chromatography. Columns come pre-packed with analytical grade 8 µm media, which provides drastically higher speed and resolution than the common large diameter, broad distribution medias. This high resolution lets operators take precise cuts with high recovery and high purity, with runtimes below 10 minutes per column.
PL Rapide Aqua
The PL Rapide Aqua column offers high speed and resolution on high dispersion systems by combining high efficiency PLgel medias with high flowrates. These high flowrates minimize the efficiency loss caused by the higher dead volumes found in older instruments and large flowcell detectors.
Aqueous GPC/SEC Start-up Kits
The Aqueous GPC/SEC Start-up Kit provides you with everything you need to begin analyzing aqueous samples with SEC. The kit contains the widest MW range columns and standards, and allows operators to benchmark an instrument and identify the MW range of new samples so the correct columns can be selected.
PL HFIPgel
Hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) is a unique solvent that allows near ambient temperature GPC of polyesters, polyamides (Nylon), polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA). PL HFIPgel has been developed by Agilent to handle HFIP, and related polar fluorinated solvents such as trifluoroethanol, while offering the high performance expected of Agilent’s PLgel line.
